Closed and slitted corrugated tubes of PA, PE, PP, PTFA, which are used as cable protection in the automotive industry, in the machine building industry and also in the medical industry requiered to be cut exactly on the wave mountain to prevent damage on the cables inside.
Specially for this task Ulmer developed the corrugate tube cutters of the WSM series. With the perfect coordination of a powerful pulling device a precise laser barrier and a rotating cutting head, it is possible to create a burr free cut on the wave mountain. Closed corrugated tubes, wide or ultra thin can be processed by using different blade sets. With anoptional slitting unit it is possible to open the tube after the cutting operation. With the WSM30E it is possible to cut closed corrugated tubes from 7 to 32mm outside diameter. For bigger sizes up to 60mm we have developed the WSM60E.
